The intricate geometric pattern of this pierced pendant is create by hand on a base of treated iron which is then electroplated with copper and nickel and then finished with a thick coat of lacquer to ensure it will not oxidize. The Cairo Pendant has blue glass beads glued inside some of the pierced holes so that the light gives off a soft blue glimmer.
